History of HumanTech Spine

The roots of HumanTech Spine can be traced back to 1948. Gustav Hutzel founded his company in Stuttgart-Möhringen in 1948, and this was taken over by his son Eberhard Hutzel in 1965.
Even in the early years, medical devices were manufactured in addition to products for the automotive industry.
The gradual expansion of production put the Hutzel group on the path to the future and set new standards for medical devices, thanks to the company's high tech machine pool and 500 employees.

Jochen Hutzel has been leading the company successfully since 1985 and founded HumanTech Germany GmbH in 2010, a further successful company within the Hutzel group, which focusses exclusively on developing and manufacturing human implants.

In just a few short years, the group company HumanTech Germany GmbH has become a market leader and is continuing unabatedly on its successful path. In 2018, HumanTech Germany carved out the dental and spinal sector into HumanTech Spine GmbH and HumanTech Dental GmbH to act more concentrated in these two medical sections.
